About the Maker: Sam Hopmans

 Following a career transition into furniture making, Sam Hopmans studied in the UK at world renowned furniture school Waters and Acland in Lake District. He currently practices as Hopmans Furniture in Canberra producing limited edition production furniture, sculptural works, and custom commissions. His style is heavily influenced by various artistic movements of the 20th century and is committed to crafting work which stands out.

Combining the highest standards of craftsmanship with a love for sleek design and coherence with the works environment. He works primarily in wood with a focus on sustainably sourced timbers and respect for material, which he applies to all his work.
