About the Maker: Lissa de Sailles  

Lissa-Jane de Sailles is an award winning fibre artist and basket maker residing on Wandi Wandian and Jerrinja land in the Shoalhaven. Initially trained as a dancer, Lissa-Jane undertook study with the late Jim Walliss OAM in 2013. Since that time she has undertaken further tuition in traditional and contemporary basketry in Ireland, England and the USA. Most recently she became the first international instructor to be invited to teach at the National Basketry Organization's 11 Biennial Conference in Tacoma, Washington.
