About the Maker:
Adelina is an illustrative ceramic artist based in Ngunnawal/Ngambri Country (Canberra) Australia. She works from home in her small studio on weekends and after work hours producing small batch ceramics. These include functional pieces such as vases, cups and plates, as well as wearable art.
Using a range of clays, employing both hand built and wheel thrown techniques, she creates vibrant decorative functional objects inspired by Japanese wagara (pattern) symbolism. With a background in Illustration and graphic design, Adelina’s artwork is high contrast with motifs that depict good fortune.
