The Claystone 'Bird' Teapot is a Vogue classic and was first made in the year 2000. The shape follows design theory - form follows function. The handle follows the line of the spout. It holds about 600ml or three 200ml cups. Fill to just below the level of the teapot lid flange. 

It was designed and made by the two hands of 70-year-old maker Chris Plumridge.

All glaze finishes are original formula developed when he was a student in Bendigo.

About the Maker: Christopher Plumridge studied ceramics in the 70's under Chinese, Japanese, English and Australian potters. His cleanly designed and ergonomically styled pieces are long lasting and sustainable. Christopher is famous for his finishes, with each piece uniquely glazed with original formula matte or gloss, coloured glazes.

About the piece:

The X2 Calibre Necklace was inSync's first three-layer necklace, and it still feels like a breakthrough. Three hand-drawn stainless steel chains in raw steel, black powder coat and 22ct gold plate, layered on a single neoprene cord and sitting wide at the chest. The forms sit slightly offset, creating depth and shadow, and the three-way contrast gives the necklace a complexity that rewards a closer look.

This necklace was made for the woman who wants something genuinely rare, something that came from a specific moment of creative ambition and will not be repeated. About the Maker: Lisa recently retired from CSIRO after a 35-year career in plant biotechnology research. She will now be able to spend more time on her art practice.

Nature, mainly plants, inspire her art. The textures and patterns in nature are translated into either linocut prints or tapestry weaving designs.

She also weaves mini tapestries from yarns donated to her by founding Craft ACT member Fay Skyring. These yarns were thrums of warp yarns from upholstery fabric Fay wove for Parliament House in Canberra. In these framed works, Lisa uses them as weft threads to explore the interaction of the different colours Fay used in three different upholstery fabrics.

She worked at the Canberra Glassworks in 2017 as the Creative Fellow, also supported by an Australia Council New Work Grant, to produce a neon installation for the 2018 Canberra Enlighten Festival. Harriet was awarded the 2018 Asia Link Toyama residency in Japan. In 2019 she thrilled to be the Proctor Fellow through the Glass Workshop travelling to the USA to study neon and plasma.
