Originally from Michigan in the United States, Amy Schleif began working with glass in 1999, after completing her Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting & Drawing at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Schleif owned and operated her own studio from 1999 to 2007, exhibiting her glass sculpture extensively throughout the United States. In 2007 she moved to Canberra, Australia to pursue her Masters of Art Visual Art at the Australian National University (ANU) - Glass Workshop. Since completing her MAVA, Schleif has produced work in her studio, South Head Studio, on the South Coast of NSW, Australia. Exhibiting both in Australia and internationally since her time at the ANU.
