Lynn was inspired to make a finger puppet per day for the 2025 Craft + Design Canberra Daily Creative Challenge. Now she (and we!) are hooked... and we are delighted to stock them in our shop.
The puppets are made on a resist from wool and silk fibres using wet-feltmaking techniques and embellished with stitching, found objects and occasionally needle felting. This experience challenged Lynn to reconsider what a finger puppet might be. She also worked to move beyond whimsy to embody more thoughtful and emotional responses and hopes her puppets now tell more of a ‘story’ about different aspects of life.
