David Walker is an artist/designer/maker with several decades of practice working in metal with a focus on contemporary jewellery and metal objects. He works in all metals from gold and silver to stainless steel, bronze, copper, nickel and aluminium to titanium and niobium and various complementary materials such as plastics and wood. Over the last ten years he has established a studio and workshop located on the NSW south coast at Guerilla Bay. Prior to moving to coastal NSW, he had a studio located near Denmark on the south coast of Western Australia where he worked as a professional artist following a 30 year academic career.

David was formerly foundation head of crafts in the School of Art and Design, Curtin University, WA, and co-ordinator of the jewellery/3D design courses. His professional experience encompasses industrial design, graphic design, public art and occasional mentor, critic, writer and editor.
