Elliott Fox is an emerging artist based in Canberra, Australia and a passionate advocate for greyhounds. He has had the benefit of lived experience as a non-English speaking migrant, a gay man, and a person with disabilities.

Born in July 1984 his family escaped Communism in Czechoslovakia to immigrate to Australia in 1986. Having an unsettled upbringing with conflicting cultural expectations gave Elliott an early appreciation for the value of diversity and the importance of inclusion.

After completing several university qualifications and a 15-year corporate career, Elliott shifted his life purpose and direction to pursue his innate passion for the visual arts. He is a strong advocate for ending greyhound exploitation by the dog racing gambling industry, and better protections and care for greyhounds, and as well as for all animals.

Elliott delivered his début solo art exhibition in 2025-26 that travelled across Australia to Sydney (NSW), Canberra (ACT), Melbourne (VIC), Shearwater (TAS), and Perth (WA). This exhibition titled ‘Saint Grey’, advocated for greyhounds and raised over $8,000 in art sales, with Elliott donating all proceeds to greyhound charities and advocacy groups.

Elliott lives in Canberra, Australia on Ngunnawal/Ngambri Country, where he works, creates, and is a parent to rescue greyhound and artistic muse, Adam Barker.

"My art is conceptually more than a pretty picture. Through my mixed media artworks I aim to engage audiences emotionally and intellectually by challenging their perceptions of art and social norms. I work with numerous mediums, including screen printing, sculpture, and impasto painting, to explore subjects through multiple layers and depth.

I consider art to be a powerful and inherent means of communication, which persists after cultures end. In a modern world saturated with misinformation, complacency, and fear, it is art that is needed more than ever. My current art series focuses on greyhounds as individuals and family members, and how this conflicts with their commoditisation by the dog racing gambling industry. As part of my advocacy I create subtle, soulful and thought-provoking artworks."
