Eugenie Keefer Bell has exhibited internationally, and held solo exhibitions of jewellery and metal in Australia, Japan and the USA. Her work is held in numerous public collections, including the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, the National Gallery of Australia and the Art Gallery of Western Australia. For her studio practice, she has held numerous grants, undertaken residencies in Japan (1995 and 2006) and Finland (2008 and 2012), and been awarded two major Fellowships by the Australia Council for the Arts. She is a Distinguished Member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.

She completed Bachelors and Masters degrees in Art in California and a PhD in Architecture and Fine Art at the University of Western Australia. Since 1981, she has held university academic positions in Tasmania and Western Australia and from 2001 in Canberra, lecturing across architecture and design studios and history. Her studio practice in jewellery and metalwork, and more recently, photography, continued in parallel with her academic engagement. At the end of 2013, she left her position as Associate Professor and Head of Architecture and Design at the University of Canberra to focus more fully on creative studio practice in jewellery, metal and photography. Her work is represented in Australia by Bilk Gallery in Manuka, ACT, and in the USA by Taboo Studio: Contemporary Art Jewellery in San Diego, California.
