Lissa-Jane de Sailles is a basket maker and fibre sculptor residing on the beautiful south coast of NSW.
With a background in dance and costume design, Lissa de Sailles takes a multidisciplinary approach to her work. Over the past seven years Lissa has furthered her skills in basketry construction techniques internationally by learning with master makers in the USA and Ireland whilst becoming recognised for her meticulous and often painstaking work. Materials are sustainably harvested and carefully prepared from her locale in the Shoalhaven and then woven, twined, or stitched into sculptural forms.

As a full time artist, Lissa divides her time by teaching and making for exhibitions and commissions.
