As a recognised independent Australian glass artist and educator, Rozlyn has exhibited her work globally since 1984 including in the USA, Europe, UK and New Zealand. Her work is represented in collections throughout Australia and overseas. She has studied both academically at Nepean CAE, now known as Western Sydney University, Sydney College of the Arts, the ANU and privately under renowned artists, the late Cherry Phillips and the late Anne Dybka this was a total of 16 years of academic and private training.
Rozlyn’s standing as a contemporary practitioner is evidenced in her work being showcased as an independent artist in the prestigious Ranamok Glass Prize and the Bombay Sapphire Design Prize and was the only Australian selected for this international award where she came equal second in the world. Her works feature the elaborate use of vitreous enamels and lusters, a technique that takes years of practice and patience.
As an educator Rozlyn has many years of experience. She has been trained by master craftspeople including the late Ann Dybka; recipient of the Australia Council Emeritus Award and Order of Australia, she was the first glass artist to receive these awards and was nominated by Rozlyn; as an apprentice in Architectural Glass with the late Cherry Phillips and Sydney Stained Glass; and through her studies at the ANU School of Art under Klaus Moje. Rozlyn has always reciprocated her learned experiences, giving back to the community through teaching and lecturing on a variety of subjects.
