Originally from the UK, Sally is a newly emerging jeweller based in Queanbeyan, NSW. The development of her creative practice is quite recent, with workshops and short courses leading her to complete an Advanced Diploma of Jewellery and Object Design in 2023. Her embryonic design practice currently focuses on the exploration of techniques and making jewellery and objects from the resulting materials. She delights in transforming the sharp, straight edges of metal into pieces that reflect irregular, curved, organic shapes, undulating lines, and unconstrained movement found only in nature. To create contrast, Sally applies finishes that reflect textures created by weather on the natural landscape.
