ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

Each year, the Craft + Design Canberra Daily Creative Challenge celebrates diverse artistic expression and invites creatives of any skill level and medium to participate in a daily creative practice

The online community of makers embarks on a month-long creative journey throughout July, responding to daily word prompts and sharing their work on Instagram. Participating artists work across a diverse range of materials and techniques including ceramics, textiles, mixed media and photography.

This is the 4th year of the Challenge and the theme of Rewilding invited participants to answer a call to return to untamed creativity, to embrace imperfection and connect with the raw, natural forces that shape both art and life.

2025 WAS BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER

This year Craft + Design Canberra welcomed nearly 400 participants from across the world, which resulted in thousands of artworks and posts throughout July. Artists responded to daily word prompts, creating new work each day using materials of their choice. The result was a diverse and innovative collection of artworks, shared within the most vibrant and engaged community we have seen to date.

To explore the participants' creations, visit #CDCCREATIVECHALLENGE25 on Instagram.
