Craft ACT cash prizes for contemporary craft artists

Congratulations to Craft ACT members Sharon Peoples and Daniel Leone who won the two Craft ACT CAPO cash prizes at last month's awards night. CAPO seeks to foster the highest standards of excellence in the arts and contribute to cultural development in Canberra, and Craft ACT is proud to partner with them once again.

Sharon Peoples (textiles) won the Craft ACT outstanding practice award - $2000. This prize is is awarded to create new work which will be featured in next year's Craft ACT members show, opening 11 November 2021.

Daniel Leone (ceramics) won the Craft ACT emerging artist award - $500. This award supports the development of work which will be featured in the annual Craft ACT Emerging Contemporaries exhibition, opening 4 February 2021.

The Craft ACT awards support contemporary craft practitioners, designers and makers who are current members of Craft ACT. We are delighted to work with CAPO to support local artists each year.
