A complementary sweet treat to sketch and then enjoy will be provided.
Artist Bio
Sally Black is a mixed media artist and teacher creating works on paper primarily using water-based mediums through painting, sketching and printmaking techniques.
Sally sketches the world around her often with unusual perspectives and distortions.
Sally’s loose and impressionistic style is delivered via the unpredictability of watercolour inks. The resulting works have a feeling of vastness with colours that intermingle into semi-abstracted landscapes with no beginning or end.
Sally has held a solo show at Strathnairn Arts Canberra, an artist residence position with The Crisp Galleries and been part of numerous group exhibitions within the Canberra region.
