2024 Creative Journalling Challenge Crucible Exhibition
2024 Creative Journalling Challenge Crucible Exhibition
The annual Creative Journalling Challenge celebrates artistic expression and encourages mindfulness through daily creative practice.
Each year our community of artists embarks on a month-long creative journey. Using diverse materials and techniques, from ceramics and textiles to mixed media and photography, artists responded to daily word prompts throughout July, sharing their daily art works on Instagram.
The 2024 theme 'Regenerate' encouraged artists to explore journalling through material exploration and sustainability.
In recognition of the hard work involved, a total prize pool of $3000 was offered for the 2024 Challenge. Our judging panel consisted of Virginia Rigney, Senior Curator, Canberra Museum and Gallery, Dr Erica Seccombe, Senior Lecturer, Australian National University School of Art and Design, and Jenny Edwards, Director of Light House Architecture & Science. Twenty-one artists were selected as finalists, and 3 were awarded prizes.
We are proud to display the winning works in our Crucible Showcase. Congratulations to:
