In this luminous exhibition, Jennifer Kemarre Martiniello—an acclaimed Arrernte glass artist—transforms ancient cultural forms into contemporary works of profound beauty and significance. Drawing inspiration from traditional woven eel traps, fish baskets, dillibags and scoops, Martiniello breathes new life into time-honoured practices through the delicate medium of glass. Her vessels are not only masterful in form and light, but also carry the enduring spirit of the world’s oldest living weaving and sustainable design traditions. Each piece honours ancestral knowledge, connection to Country, and the unbroken lineage of cultural memory—embodying the essence of Tjukurrpa, the Dreaming and Law of her Arrernte heritage.
