WORKSHOP | A STORY TO BE WORN | MARIANA DEL CASTILLO

In this series of three workshops, artist Mariana del Castillo led a group in creating bespoke wearable art. There is an intimacy conveyed with each piece of jewellery we choose to wear, however there can be multiple meanings beyond aesthetics. Participants  explored a variety of materials creating delicate and detailed constructions. These tactile creations used personal metaphors to tell stories and allude to the passage of time.

SESSION 1 - PAPER WORN | 5.30-8.30pm Wednesday | 12 March 2025
Participants explored a variety of heavy weight papers, paper beads, metal attachments, drafting film, repurposed text, sumi and indigo ink.

SESSION 2 - LEATHER WORN | 5.30-8.30pm Wednesday | 19 March 2025

SESSION 3 - ECO WORN | 1-4pm Saturday | 29 March 2025
