Join the STAUNCH. collective for a hands-on Lino cut stamp printing workshop. Choose from a selection of pre-cut lino stamps and create your own design on card or fabric while yarning with members of the collective. Come ready to experiment, connect and create.
Drop-in anytime from noon to 4pm.
You will also have the opportunity to view the STAUNCH. exhibition in the Gallery while you visit Craft + Design Canberra.
What you will be doing
- Creating printed designs on card or fabric from pre-cut Lino stamps.
- Yarning with the STAUNCH. Collective.
What you will need to bring
- All materials are provided.
- BYO fabric such as T-shirts or tote bags if you would like to print your own wearable art.
This workshop is best suited for
- All ages and skill levels are welcome. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Anyone wanting to explore the craft of print making.
About STAUNCH.
STAUNCH. is a cultural collective making works of art that generate Blak excellence, each artist with their own creative practice drawing from Country, Community and collaboration.
Artists include Rodriguez Nalorlman Pindiying (Thyemirri Bininj, Djalama Clan Group, Mamadawerre homeland, West Arnhem Land (NT)), Georgia Hoskinson (Badtjala (Butchulla)), Sandy Harvey (Kalkadoon), Shanysa Jayde McConville (Eastern Arrernte), Marcus Maye Wright (Wiradjuri-Gamilaraay), Nic Ingram (Palawa and Wiradjuri ), Maggie Douglas (Kabi Kabi and South Sea Islander).
Accessibility at the Venue
- This workshop is hosted at Craft + Design Canberra. Please note there is a lift from the ground-floor foyer if you are not able to use the stairs.
