Emily Kerr
Emily Kerr is an emerging ceramic artist based in Canberra. She first learned how to make pots as a child with her grandmother (Jo Kerr). She forgot everything about throwing other than the harsh feel of groggy clay on tiny hands, and was later re-taught wheel throwing by Ian Jones (Laughing Frog Pottery). She is now gradually immersing herself in the world of wood firing, assisting to fire kilns at Old Saint Lukes Studio (Gundaroo) and Strathnairn Arts Centre (Canberra).
