In Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, weaving is used to express cultural identity, traditions and stories. Plant, animal, and human fibres have been used to create objects for thousands of years. Weaving stories celebrates this history and illustrates some of the many ways contemporary Indigenous artists are using traditional and non-traditional techniques to create jewellery, objects and blown glass forms.
