Craft + Design Canberra Call Outs
Submissions are due by Saturday 11 November 2023.
The 2024 Craft + Design Canberra Festival theme of Regenerate advocates for design thinking, imagination, collaboration and making by hand to support innovation and problem-solving, providing hope for our future. No longer is it enough to be sustainable, we must innovate to solve the big problems of our time, to reverse the devastating impacts of climate change and regenerate environments, relationships, and communities.
The Festival provides opportunities for artists, designers and craftspeople to make experimental work, connect with the community and generate income; and audiences to enjoy immersive inclusive experiences of the best in contemporary craft and design.
Applications are now open for a range of programs, exhibitions and events that relate to the Festival theme of Regenerate and the objective of the festival to showcase excellence in contemporary craft and design, celebrate Canberra as a global city of design and align with the Craft + Design Canberra's strategic vision, values and aspirations.
Festival programs may include but are not limited to:
- events
- exhibitions
- public art installations
- public talks/symposiums
- publication launches
- tours
- performances

Craft + Design Canberra invites craftspeople, designers, makers, and curators at all levels of experience and across a variety of mediums to propose new exhibitions for the 2024 + 2025 exhibition program.

CRAFT + DESIGN CANBERRA ANYTIME PROGRAM
The Craft + Design Canberra Anytime program has been designed to create opportunities for our members to showcase their skills, engage with community, and earn incomes. Members will have the opportunity to participate in the annual Open Studios program, Members exhibition; and to facilitate workshops.
