Each wheel thrown ceramic cup is inlayed with a unique painterly monoprint suggestive of the surrounding topography. When considering the making of these reusable cups, it seemed an obvious choice to use this imagery, reminding us of the way the environment can be damaged and how precious it can be. It is hoped that each individual ceramic Landscape Reusable Cup will be inspirational to reducing the disposable aspects of enjoying a cup of take away coffee.
Material: wheel thrown porcelain with silicon lid and sleeve band

Meet the Maker: Sue Hewat is a Canberra based ceramic artist. Conceptually, the transient nature of the ebb and flow of the tide guides her work. Sue has begun exploring visual links to other parts of the environment, examining parallels of pattern in both the land and the sea. She is drawn to the layers, lines and threads that define the essence of place.
