Danielle Lo
Danielle Lo is an emerging contemporary jeweller from Sydney.
Danielle’s practice has a deep focus on presence and place, emulating forms of nature within her surroundings. Underling her focus, Danielle draws ideas form the theories of Zen- the notion of creating balance and strength. The works are an intimate physical exploration of conceptual ideas, achieved through the use of shapes, form, line, colour and textural elements. Danielle predominately works in silver, gold and enamel- a glass powder that can be fused to metal surfaces, using traditional silversmithing techniques. Danielle has developed a small collection of handmade jewellery stocked at various locations in Australia.
Upon finishing her Advance Diploma in Jewellery and Objects at Enmore Design Centre (2014), Danielle went on to complete a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in Jewellery and Object at Sydney College of Arts (2016) and has finished the JamFactory Associate Training Program (2018) in the Metal and Jewellery Studio. Currently Danielle continues her practice taking on bespoke commissions in her private studio based in Sydney.
