Sue Peachey

This journal was created in November 2021 by ceramics artist Sue Peachey in collaboration with poet Owen Bullock, who specialises in haiku. Each responds creatively to daily prompts provided by Craft ACT as part of the Nurture festival.
The prompts were: gold, pod, weave, ombre, bloom, cellular, breath, building, hair, sea change, wings, mould, generation, growth, baking, chrysalis, age, spin, switch, tadpole, fire, bend, seed, change, expand, patina, glaze, hybrid, kernel and transformation.
The Nurture journaling project came on the heels of two years of disruptions from the COVID -19 pandemic. Itself an alternative to cancelled Design Canberra festival, the project helped to foster a useful therapeutic practice as well as a creative one.
