Wayne Simon

Wayne Simon is of Aboriginal descent from the Biripi country (father’s side) and of English ancestry (mother’s side).  His work is a fusion of patterns, style, and colour - which stems from his graffiti background - further influenced by the concepts surrounding traditional Aboriginal artifacts. Wayne incorporates his formal training in jewellery and combines this with indigenous techniques that use adornment on the body as a daily ritual or activity.
