Craft ACT appoints new CEO and Artistic Director

Craft ACT is delighted to announce the appointment of highly-experienced arts leader, educator and artist, Jodie Cunningham, as our new Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director.

Jodie comes to the role with previous experience in developing innovative exhibitions and public and digital programs in public cultural institutions and historic sites. She also has an extensive background in visual art and design education and a commitment to mentoring developing artists and fostering collaboration. 

She will take up the position of Chief Executive Officer of Craft ACT on 26 July.

Jodie is a highly creative artist and arts leader and an advocate for the power of creativity to bring hope and transformation to our communities and to strengthen local and national cultural identities. She brings to Craft ACT diverse arts experience, an enthusiasm to support our Member makers, designers and artists, and a passion to support and grow valued Craft ACT programs such as Design Canberra. 

The Board of Craft ACT is excited to have Jodie on board to continue to build on Craft ACT’s outstanding 50 year history and to lead the vital work of embedding craft, making and design at the centre of everyday life in Australia’s capital, a global city of design.
