This exhibition is a celebratory patchwork of pieces by Queer artists from across the nation, centered around the nucleus of LGBTQIA+ pride. Each artwork reacts to collective and individual experiences of Queerness, love, and togetherness. It is about storytelling, truth telling, and the coming-together through the commonalities of the larger plight of being Queer. The work within this exhibition demonstrates the diverse composition of the LGBTQIA+ community, with each piece being vastly different from each other, created within different circumstances, different processes, intentions, and materials, yet still simultaneously belonging together.
This exhibition is about placemaking a safe space within our social, cognitive, and geographic landscape.
