About the Maker: Claire Osman is a fibre artist, working at the intersection of art and design. Despite holding a BA in Design from the Whitehouse Institute of Design, Claire’s artistic journey has been largely self-taught. In her 2015 graduate project for the design degree, Claire experimented with seaweed as a material – creating a series of homewares and woven pieces from treated seaweed. Since that time, Claire has continued to explore textile fibres, craft practices and natural materials.
