About the Maker: Dr Cathy Franzi is a visual artist with an interdisciplinary practice in ceramics and botanical sciences. In 2015 she was awarded a PhD from the ANU School of Art & Design. Her interdisciplinary approach has led to numerous science-art projects and residencies to investigate local plants and the environment. Franzi’s work is held in public collections including Shepparton Art Museum, Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery and Canberra Museum & Art Gallery. She is the recipient of an Australia Council for the Arts grant, former President of The Australian Ceramics Association and is currently a lecturer at the ANU School of Art & Design.
