About the Maker: Julie Bradley is a professional visual artist working with the techniques of collage and drawing to create mixed media works on paper.
In 2023 and 2019 Julie was the international visiting fellow at the Ballinglen Art Foundation in Ireland and again in 2023, Craft and Design Canberra’s artist in residence at Gudgenby Cottage in Namadgi National Park ACT.
In 2020 Julie was awarded the 2020 City News -Artist of the year award and the Canberra Critics Circle award for her “sophisticated and eloquently transmitted works on the powerful effects of place and weather”.
Julie was awarded the CAPO (Canberra Arts Patrons Organisation) Fellowship in 2019 and her work is held in many collections including:
National Gallery of Australia, Australian National University, Canberra Museum and Gallery, University of Canberra Collection, Bundanon Trust, Calvary Hospital Birth Centre, Canberra Hospital, Lu Rees Archive, Goulburn Regional Art Gallery and private collections.
Julie trained in printmaking at the Australian National University, previously Canberra School of Art and studied at the University of New South Wales where she received a graduate diploma in professional art studies. Her work has received numerous awards.
