Meet the Maker:
Rachael Hanrick is an emerging designer-maker living and working on Ngunnawal Country/Canberra. Her practice explores the tension between human skill and technology, using digital fabrication techniques informed by deep material and tacit knowledge. With a background in mechanical engineering , she trained in fine-furniture making at Sturt School for Wood and recently graduated with a Master of Design from the Australian National University School of Art & Design. Her work has been exhibited at Sturt Gallery, Alliance Française, the ANU Research School of Physics and the ANU School of Art & Design.
