Ann McMahon has worked variously in craft arts since the 1990s when she worked with custom designed millinery. Since completing an honours degree in Textiles at ANU (2000), she has worked professionally as a gallery manager, arts administrator, craft writer, educator, project manager and creative program officer in private, public and not-for-profit sector roles. Her craft practice sustains her creative spirit and she focuses technically on off-loom weaving in both large and small scale. Her work is typically sculptural and explores the intersection of form and materiality. Her work is held in the collection of the Canberra Museum and Gallery.
