Teffany Thiedeman
Open 10am – 4pm | Sunday 29 October 2023 | 67 Schlich St, Yarralumla ACT
Hearth is Teffany’s home studio. It includes; water features, a beehive, outdoor sculptures, a clay pizza oven, chickens, pebble mosaics and a massive gum tree in a suburban backyard in Yarralumla.
Teffany makes sculptural ceramic pieces ranging from hand sized to human sized. She is very interested in mythology, storytelling and the power of imagination as an essential part of human well-being. She enjoys making impermanent objects as well as making art work that can live in peoples homes and be part of their everyday life- domestic ware and small art objects which can be handled and loved. Teffany frequently collaborates with her daughter Ochre, who runs Red Ochre Studio in Tasmania. This year Teffany has focussed on small figures; mermaids, painted tiles & animal forms. These will be for sale on the day along with a range of kelp inspired earrings and small works from Red Ochre Studio. Build-your-own pizza will also be available between 12 and 3.
Teffany’s studio will be open only on Sunday and is a weather dependent event. Please check for updates on her website.
