The future is bright for craft + design
Craft ACT has touched the lives and built careers of many thousands of artists, designers and craftspeople since we were established nearly 50 years ago.
We need to ensure the practice of craftspeople and designers exist into the future, and one way to do this is to support emerging and early career artists and transition them into professional practice.
Our annual Emerging Contemporaries exhibition is one of our favourite shows of the year. It features a handpicked selection of the most exciting early career artists and designers working in furniture, ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles. In 2019, the exhibition includes beautiful work by Rosie Armstrong, Oliver Chiswell, Angela Coleman, Henrietta Farrelly-Barnett, Krystal Hurst, Abbey Jamieson, Jenni Kemarre Martiniello, Georgia Larsen, Daniel Leone, Bethany Lick, Katie McAuliffe, Cam Michael, Kristina Neumann, Annie Parnell, Samuel Radoll, George Shvili, Beverly Smith, Lynette Talbot, Kazu Quill, Megan Wilkinson and Chi Yusuf.
But we need your help. Please donate to our vibrant community and help us write the story of our next 50 years. Every dollar donated is matched by Creative Partnerships Australia and will help us forge new international collaborations and residencies, invest in artist development and mentoring, and sustain Australia’s high-quality studio practice.
Any funds raised are tax deductible and help us to reach our goal of $50,000 dollars to ensure more artists, more audiences and more venues can be part of the Craft ACT story.
Donate now: double the value of your donation and grow the future of CraftACT’s creative community.
